Firefighting
This course has been designed
to meet the requirements of Annex 1 of the IMO Assembly resolution
A.437 (XI), Basic Training in Firefighting. Successful participants
will be issued with a certificate under the provisions of
the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification
and Watch-keeping for Seafarers, 1978, as amended in 1995.
As per the requirements
of the Convention, participants will be required to demonstrate
levels of competency during exercises in; command, control
and organization, as well as the use, maintenance and inspection
of shipboard firefighting apparatus.
